A film about the history of unique trend in European cinema called "Polish School", or "Polish Film School." Fifty years have passed since the wave of these films emerged. Their directors, cinematographers and actors talk about the phenomenon while their statements are illustrated with fragments of the famous films. Among interviewed artists are Andrzej Wajda, Jerzy Kawalerowicz, Kazimierz Kutz, Jan Laskowski, Stanislaw Lenartowicz, Tadeusz Konwicki, Jerzy J. Stawinski, Gustaw Holoubek, and Barbara Krafft.
