Between
August 5 and August 7, 1944, sixty thousand of people
of Wola, a district of western Warsaw, were killed and
set on fire. 12 tons of ashes of the victims were later
on collected off the streets of Wola. The documentary
was inspired by dramatic memoirs of three witnesses:
Wieslaw Kepinski, Eugeniusz Trepczynski, Wandy Lurie.
MICHAL
ROGALSKI
Born in 1970 in Warsaw. Graduated from Journalism and
Political Sciences at the University of Warsaw (1996)
and Film Directing at the Lodz Film School (2002). A
participiant of a feature film course at the Andrzej
Wajda Master School of Film Directing. Author of many
documentaries including Silesian Business (Slaski interes,
2006) and Kozietulski Street 6 (Kozietulskiego 6, 2004).
He is about to complete his feature film debut The Last
Mission (Ostatnia misja).
