A
29-year-old Benek decides to start a new life . He takes
his severance pay and leaves the coal mine forever,
yet his succesive attempts to find a new job misfire.
When it seems that he hit the bottom, love makes him
find the strength and persistence that make the fortune
reverse. He saves not only himself but also his fellow
coalminers and he wins the woman he loves. Full of humor,
universal tale about hope.
ROBERT
GLINSKI
Born in 1952 in Warsaw. Director and screenwriter. Graduated
from architecture at the Warsaw Polytechnic (1975) and
film direction at the Lodz Film School (1979). Author
of documentaries. Director of TV Theatre plays. Laureate
of many awards at Polish and international festivals.
In September of 2008 he became Rector of the Lodz Film
School.
