A touching documentary about Polish general Stanislaw
Sosabowski and the Polish 1st Independent Parachute
Brigade he commanded during World War II. Their mission
was to drop into occupied Poland to help liberate the
country. Instead the unit was included in the Allied
forces and took part in a disastrous battle of Arnhem
in Netherlands. Shortly after the battle Sosabowski
was unjustly made a scapegoat for the failure of the
Allied military operation. He was accused of criticizing
Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery and then removed as
a command officer of his brigade in December 1944. The
documentary tells a story of a 60-year struggle to bring
back the honor to the general Sosabowski and his soldiers.
