A
sequel of the most popular Soviet comedy Ironiya sudby,
ili S legkim parom! (The Irony of Fate (1975). It's
been thirty years since the New Year's Eve when Zhenya
Lukashin met his Nadya. Time hasn't been kind to them
- they broke up, she went back to Leningrad. Now they
have their own families and children, who very much
like their parents face some collisions and dilemmas.
TIMUR
BEKMAMBETOV
Born in 1961 in Guryev un the Soviet Union (now Atyrau,
Kazakhstan). Commonly regarded as one of the most commercially
successful directors of early 21th century Russia.Graduated
from A.N. Ostrovsky Theatrical & Artistic Institute
in Tashkent in 1987. After serving the army, he worked
at Ilkohom Theatre and Uzbekfilm.He started his film
career in advertising directing the popular World History
series for the "Bank Imperial" (1992-97).
"Night Watch 2" (2006), is what made him an
international sensation. Spyglass-Universal release
"Wanted" (2008) was his English-language debut.
