Bohaterami filmu są Hans i Kerstin. Oboje mają po 83 lata i są małżeństwem od 60 lat. Tytułowy "Paradajz" to nazwa tapety, którą Hans chce przykleić na jednaj ze ścian w ich domu. Kerstin jest temu przeciwna. Decyzja o zmianie wyglądu wnętrza okazuje się trudna, ale małżonkowie potrafią dojść do porozumienia. "Paradajz" bowiem symbolizuje ich wspólne życie, które oparli na miłości, zrozumieniu, cierpliwości i dużej dozie dobrego humoru.

JERZY SLADKOWSKI
Born in Radom in 1945. Graduated from Classical Literature at the Kopernik University in Torun and School of Journalism at the Warsaw University (1973). In 1972 he started working for Polish TV. In 1982 he immigrated to Sweden. He works for Swedish TV and Swedish Film Institute. Since 1993 collaborates with German Public TV Station ZDF and satellite ARTE program. A number of his films is dedicated to Russia and its people. He has produced and directed nearly 50 documentary films, many of which were awarded at international film festivals. Among his most popular films are: "Best Friends" (2006), "My American Family" (2004), "Noble Virgins" (2002), "Swedish Tango" (1999), "Vendetta" (1996).
