A six-year-old Stefek challenges Providence. The boy believes that the course of small events he provoked, will help him to get closer to his father who left his mother for another woman. Stefek's sister, 17-year-old Elka, teaches him how to bribe fate with small sacrifices. Yet in the crucial point it turns out that children have nothing valuable to sacrifice. In his game with destiny Stefek decides to raise the stakes dengerously...

ANDRZEJ JAKIMOWSKI
Born in 1963 in Warsaw. Director, screenwriter, producer. Graduated from Philosophy Department at the Warsaw University and Film Directing at Radio Television Department of the Silesian University in Katowice. In feature film he debuted with "Squint Your Eyes" honored with 20 awards in Poland and abroad.
