A touching journey through the world of the Master of Film Directing, Andrzej Wajda, at work on the closest to his heart project: "Katyn," an Oscar nominated film about the mass murder of Polish officers by the NKVD during World War II. The documentary created by The Paladino Film Team, a group of four graduates from Wajda's School of Film Directing. By following Wajda's every step on the set, they managed to show more than the "beyond the scenes" of a large production. Most importantly, they took Wajda off the celebrity pedestal, presenting his humor, sensitivity to people and nature, kindness, dedication to his art ("I get up in the morning and make movies"), moments of frustration ("Mister Andrzej, shoot goddamn it!") and even overwhelming emotions when during shooting one of the scenes he needs to walk away into the woods as he is reminded of his father who was also killed in Katyn.
