A pleasant and light hearted documentary that looks at the lives of four Polish woman who all separately decided to move to Sardinia. Marzena, Angelika, Monika and Teresa all had different reasons for leaving their homes and family, but inevitably share certain experiences as Polish emigrees in their new surrounding. A House on Sardynia examines the cultural common denominator that has factored into their lives, especially how it has affected their assimilation into Sardinian society and ability to raise multi cultural families. Candid interviews with the women and footage of them in their daily lives, give a glimpse of the challenges of adapting to a new culture while preserving native traditions. The film will especially speak to anyone who has ever had to make a life outside of his or her own homeland.
