"The Kinematograph" is an evocative, animated short which tells the story of Francis, a seasoned inventor who lives on the outskirts of a French village with his many machines, and his loving wife Elizabeth. On the brink of creating the first film camera, Francis becomes obsessed with the machine, only to forget his duties and importance as a husband. In only 730 sekund director Tomek Baginski manages to powerfully portray the tragedy of how personal ambition can keep us from those who truly matter the most.
