The fascinating story of Peter Raina, a Hindu academic who's studies brought him to Poland in 1962 and changed the course of his life. Raina who today is known as an expert on the history of Polish Catholicism, spent his youth absorbing Poland's counter culture, ingratiating himself with the intelligentsia, artists, and political circles who didn't accept the communist regime. During this time he married Barbara, a Polish woman whose love and support kept him in the country furthering his work. Years after his wife died and Poland's post-communist government declassified certain documents, Peter finds out that his wife was an informant who for years gave information about him to the government.
