| SYNOPSIS:
|
A
short film is an impression on work of Emilie Brzezinski,
eminent American sculptor of Czech descent, and a wife
of statesman and politician Zbigniew Brzezinski. She
creates extraordinary wood sculptures, exposing an organic
character of the material. Lately, she combined them
with monumental family photographs, and the pieces were
shown in a series called Family Trees. The camera accompanies
the artist at work, in her atelier, while seeking the
wood, and during her recent one-man show at the Society
for Arts in Chicago last March. The sculptor explains
the process of selecting the material and describes
a process of creative work In addition, the film includes
interesting archival footage.
