22nd POLISH FILM FESTIVAL IN AMERICA ANNOUNCES LOCATIONS
Friday, November 5 - Sunday, November 21, 2010

The Polish film Festival in America (PFFA) announced that screenings for the 2010 PFFA edition will be held at seven well-appointed cultural venues in the Chicagoland.

The VIP Opening Night Screening is scheduled for Friday, November 5, 2010 at 7:30 pm. in one of the city's most modern cinema AMC River East 21 (322 E. Illinois Street). The Opening Reception with many stars of Polish film in attendance will follow the screening and take place at the Society for Arts (1112 N. Milwaukee Ave.). Free shuttle buses will be available for the reception attendees from AMC 21 and the Society for Arts.

Due to the very limited capacity for the VIP Opening, another Popular Opening Night Screening will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 8:00 pm. in Pickwick Theatre (5 S. Prospect Ave., Park Ridge). The landmark movie house was built in 1928 in Art Deco style and remains one of the most spectacular theatres in the state. Pickwick offers free ample parking in downtown of Park Ridge, now highly populated by Polish American community.

Regular PFFA screenings will be held in the Copernicus Theatre (5216 W. Lawrence Ave.), the first movie house in Chicago built for a sound movie (ample free parking available); Facets Cinematheque (1517 W. Fullerton Ave.), known for its splendid foreign film promotion; Beverly Arts Center (2407 W. 111th Street) located at the city's South Side (free parking); and Big Cinemas Golf Glen 5 (9180 Golf Road, Niles), an upscale mini-plex with elegant Ebony Lounge and free parking for one thousand cars. The Closing & Award Ceremony will take place in Big Cinemas theatre on Saturday, November 20th at 7:00 pm. followed by a reception. For all special screenings and receptions separate invitations are required.

The Festival's host theatre and primary location for screenings of documentary films is the Society for Arts' Gallery Theatre (1112 N. Milwaukee Ave.). The elegant digital space screens also in HD, and is located just minutes away from downtown Chicago. The theatre is a respected site of docsPace program, showcasing the world's best documentary films. The luxury 75-seat auditorium hosts an art gallery and a small cafeteria. It offers limited free parking.
