Franciszek finds out that his mother is dying. Unable
to care for her himself, he hires Mrs. Palchowa, a local
expert in the matters of life and death. Unfortunately,
nothing is as simple as it seems to be at first. Franciszek's
mother hides a dark secret from the past, and it begins
to reveal itself. Very unusual things take place in
the house. As old Palchowa says: "When a man dies,
he turns into something really dreadful, of which people
are afraid"...

Graduate of the Krzysztof Kieslowski Department of Radio
& TV at the University of Silesia in Katowice. Also
he completed a two year Camerimage Film School for cinematographers
in Torun. Made a number of short films. The Devil received
numerous awards including Honorary Jury Mention at Slamdance
'06.
