The
thriller takes place in the Silesia region of Poland.
Small’s father died in a mining accident. The teenager
lives with his mother. Their house sits in the middle
of a deserted field by a marsh, full of industrial waste
and metal scrap. Rumor has it that a man-hunting hyena
occupies the marshland. Small must pass through the
area every day on his way to school, and he’s scared
to death. He befriends a man who lives in a wooden hut
on the marshland. He seems to be hiding from someone.
When local children start disappearing from a nearby
town, Small suspects the man …
