This is a story of missing love. The titled Nestling affirms she hates her own mother and at the same time it is obvious she would do anything to hear her mom loves her. Karolina seems to be an ordinary, joyful girl with the only difference that she lives her life in a correction school. She is nervous, shouts constantly, smokes one cigarette after another and does not know what to do with herself.

Historia o tęsknocie za miłością. Tytułowa bohaterka - Pisklak, wyraźnie deklaruje swoją wrogość do matki, jednocześnie jest gotowa zrobić wszystko, by usłyszeć, że jest przez nią kochana. Karolina wydaje się być zwykłą, pogodną dziewczyną, rzecz jednak w tym, że mieszka w poprawczaku, jest nerwowa, stale krzyczy, pali papierosa za papierosem i nie wie sama, co ze sobą zrobić.
