Wojnar, a gardener from a small village, organizes a splendid wedding for his daughter. He gives a luxurious car as a gift to the couple. After the wedding ceremony, he pays for the car, however not completely. He promised a piece of land to the priest's brother-in-law, who brought the car, but the problem is that land belongs to the bride's grandfather and he does not want to sell it. In this case, the priest's brother-in-law keeps the car's papers. The priest is asked to help in negotiations but he does not recognize his brother-in-law who - as it turns out - is a very ruthless gangster. At the same time, the wedding goes on, alcohol is served plentifully…

Wojnar, ogrodnik z podkarpackiej wsi, urzadza córce wystawne wesele. W prezencie mloda para dostaje od ojca luksusowy samochód. Po ceremonii slubnej Wojnar placi za samochód, ale... nie w calosci. Szwagier ksiedza, który samochód sprowadzil, domaga sie obiecanych dwóch hektarów ziemi. Natychmiast. Notarialnie przepisanych. Problem w tym, ze ziemia nalezy do
dziadka panstwa mlodych i dziadek nie chce jej oddac. Wobec tego szwagier zatrzymuje dokumenty samochodu. Ksiadz
poproszony o pomoc w negocjacjach nie rozpoznaje w mezczyznie swojego szwagra. "Szwagier" okazuje sie bezwzglednym
gangsterem. Tymczasem wesele trwa, alkohol leje sie
strumieniami...

WOJCIECH SMARZOWSKI

Born in 1963. Graduate from the Lodz Film School. Director and screenwriter. He made several video clips. He won Fryderyk Award for the video clip "It wasn't a film" for Myslovitz band. In 2001 he adapted and directed the novel "Kuracja" by Jacek Glebski which brought him several awards, e.g. Grand Prix at the II Polish Radio and Polish TV Theatre Festival "Dwa Teatry" in Sopot. He co-directs TV series "Na Wspolnej".
